I landed in Taos in the 80’s after living in Latin America for twelve years. Life in the tiny village of Costilla; a love of land and culture influence my artwork. I paint what is framed in an open door, the view outside my window, walks along the acequia, or down our dirt road. My watercolor process goes from detailed drawings to loose washes and back to tiny brush details.
Building layer upon transparent layer, I paint the juxtaposition of loose to constructed, vibrant to gray, and serious to whimsical. My wish is to bring joy to those who view my work.
